Tracy Reese Spring 2013 Runway Review

While many designers focus on the surf and sand aspects of spring and summer, the Tracy Reese Spring 2013 collection is ready to hit the steamy city streets. The beauty look even interpreted summer shine and sweaty hair in an impossibly chic rendition. Blinding brights mixed with beige, sexy silks with tough printed leathers. The combination of neons and wild prints could get a little 90s but this is a throwback worth considering. Lots of layers, chunky-punky arm parties, and geeky goggle-like glasses added dimension to the looks.

Eventually, brights gave way to just as blinding whites. Relaxed, body skimming silhouettes (becoming a bona-fide trend) and low-cut faux-wrap necklines continued throughout, tying the disparate palettes together for one of the more cohesive collections so far. It was a super sexy presentation without ever looking like it was trying too hard. Even fringed accessories and a liberal sprinkling of metallics and sparkles couldn't diminish the casual chic. Dressing for the commute or even a night out can strike fear into the heart of many a fashionista when the temps get ridiculous, but these are pieces you'll look forward to slipping on all summer long.
