Twitterati #NYFW Spring 2013: Everyone Loves Karlie, Zac Posen, and More

Forget fall, this month it’s all about spring as NYC kicks off Fashion Month. If you haven’t been keeping up with it all, don’t worry because Twitterati has got you covered. From the good to the really awful, here is what fashion insiders had to say about #NYFW.

David Beckham is Fashion’s Best Hubby Ever

While Victoria Beckham keeps establishing herself as a top-notch designer with every season, it’s hard to disassociate her from her celebrity status and to only think of her as a designer. It doesn’t help much when her gorgeous husband, David Beckham, decides to attend his wife’s show. WSJ Style Columnist Christina Binkley tweeted, “Hello! David Beckham greeting people at his wife’s fashion show. Victoria Beckham.” WSJ‘s Fashion Director and Style.com contributing writer Meenal Mistry added, “Front row fun doesn’t get much better than Suzy Menkes next to David Beckham.” However, David was not the only Beckham making a surprise appearance. British Vogue tweeted, “Harper Beckham attends mother‘s  show – is she not one of the world’s most stylish tots?” Yes, that was most likely a rhetorical question. Other big names at Posh Becks’ show included Anna Dello Russo, who instagramed a photo of herself clad in Vicki B. Red Carpet Fashion tweeted about the arrival of an unlikely duo: “Maria Sharapova arrived at the Victoria Beckham show with Anna Wintour.

As for the fashion, British Elle tweeted, “Victoria Beckham has flat shoes, lingerie and the best black jackets you will ever see.” And yes, just like Times Fashion, we also exclaimed, “Hold the front page: Victoria Beckham does flats!”

Fashionistas Party Hard with Lil Kim at Opening Ceremony’s 10 Yr Anniversary Soiree

Earlier on Sunday, Lil Kim tweeted, “Getting Glammed up for a special surprise performance tonight… New York Fashion Week !!!! :).” Little did we know then that Kim’s surprise performance would be a part of the hottest and most epic party this fashion week: Opening Ceremony‘s 10 Year Anniversary Soiree. So just how decadent was it you ask? Fashionista.com tweeted, “We’re still recovering from this weekend’s epic fashion week parties. Lil Kim was involved.” MTV Style further elaborated, “Our girl  went HARD on stage for‘s 10 Year Anniversary party!!” Need I tweet more? Fashion Indie’s Samantha Lim added, “Paris & Nicki Hilton to my left, Chloe Sevigny dancing her ass off to my right, 3 trannys breaking it down on stage. Insane .”

Zac Posen’s Model-Filled Show-Fest

From its opening, which included a fierce Naomi Campbell in a festive cocktail dress, to its closing, a bridal-clad Coco Rocha, Zac Posen’s spring collection “blew our minds with supermodels galore ,” tweeted Huff Post Style. W tweeted, “If  is involved, you know it’s .” While both models killed the catwalk, a competitive streak naturally ensued. The Fug Girls tweeted, “The great  closing Zac Posen. Naomi freaking Campbell opened and Coco still won -H.” Do you agree? While Zac may or may not have a favorite, the gracious designer thanked all of his gals by tweeting, “Huge thanks to all my girls who walked my show last night — they were incredible!!” Now all together: Awwww.

Everyone Loves Karlie

Speaking of top-models, Karlie Kloss brought her A game to this season’s #NYFW. From her fierce strut at Rag & Bone to her graceful walk at Carolina Herrera, this generation’s top model had everyone on Twitter talking. Bergdorf Goodman tweeted, “We all want to walk like the  walks .” Vogue‘s Meredith Melling Burke tweeted, “Loved the last look on  at the Carolina Herrera show — a pale, tea length, wafty dress styled with flat sandals. A new attitude!” WSJ’s Elizabeth Holmes added, “UGH I LOVE SEEING KARLIE WALK. .” Who doesn’t?
