J.Crew Spring 2013 Runway Review

With J.Crew, it's all about the styling. Sure, there were great pieces in the spring collection — there always are — but it's how they put those pieces together that separates the brand's collections from other commercially driven ones.

Brocade pants paired with a print button down worn under a sweater emblazoned with the word "darling" for example, or mix matched prints worn with a bright cross-body bag and colorblocked shoes — there was an endless amount to love in the brightly colored and patterned lineup. Better yet, it was all wearable and given what we know about the brand's price points, affordable.

Also notable were pop colored collared t-shirt dresses worn with pointed shoes, pajama tops worn with high-waisted trousers, a flower embellished top worn with a contrasting knee length floral skirt, and a slew of fantastic bermuda shorts.
