Etro Spring 2013 Runway Review

The Eastern Asian shapes also tied into this season’s prints, which were digital versions of Orientalist paintings the designer saw at the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid. This translated into Oriental florals, butterfly and bird prints on kimonos, obi-style belted tops, structured wide sleeves, and gaucho-style pants. The bold prints were a perfect complement for the clean lined shapes, and a number of looks were tempered with solids giving the collection even more in the way of wearable appeal.
