Moschino Spring 2013 Runway Review

After a Moschino Cheap & Chic collection that disappointed because of its lack of tongue in cheek wit, it's all the more disheartening that Rossella Jardini went in a somewhat costume direction for Moschino's Spring 2013 lineup. This season was all swinging 60s complete with Twiggy-style shift dresses, white rim shades, psychedelic heart, flower and geometric prints, fitted cropped jackets, white helmet hats, and lots of graphic black-and-white.

Though there was some success in the mod striped looks, A-line mini skirts, contrasting piped separates, and the military-style jackets and tops, the collection lacked the brand's signature intellectual humor…bring back the cowboy hats and fruit prints, please!
