Gianfranco Ferre Spring 2013 Runway Review

Forget warm and cozy, inspired by Guy Bourdin’s provocative photography, Federico Piaggi and Stefano Citron's collection for Ferre was cool and icy, with sharp cuts, exotic skins, cinched waists, and a color palette heavy on white and black.

There were no prints and embellishments were kept to a minimum, allowing the designers to show off their draping and tailoring skills which made for some particularly beautiful gowns finished with oversized pockets. While there may not have been anything groundbreaking in the collection, the lineup was cohesive, well styled, and utterly wearable.
