Just when you thought Fashion Week couldn't top itself, Milan comes along with big time heavy hitters like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander — and that's only the beginning. Find out everything that went down this week as reported by Twitter's fashion finest.
Roberto Cavalli Brings Out the Beautiful People
"It's like the beauty olympics in the front row at Roberto Cavalli. Never seen so many [pretty] people in one place," tweeted Red Carpet Fashion. For starters, Elizabeth Hurley caused a raucous, "causing some photographer mayhem at Roberto Cavalli
#MFW," tweeted WWD. Another super-sexy starlet who made her way to the show spotted by British Elle who tweeted, "Roberto Cavalli just greeted Leona Lewis." And yes, while the front row was certainly superb in beauty, the collection didn't fare so bad either. Style.com reviewed Cavalli's Spring collection tweeting, "Milan finishes on an up note at Cavalli. NP." W's, Karla Martinez tweeted, "As the person sitting next to me said, this is legit Cavalli." BryanBoy added, "Living for the black lace pieces at Cavalli."
Jil Sander's Intense Return
Making a return to her namesake brand should feel like a piece of cake for Jil Sander, but when her predecessor is Raf Simons, who was more than revered for his designs and artistic creativity while at the Italian house and is now heading Christian Dior, there were some pretty big shoes to fill, so to speak. As for the pressure: "
#MFW Waiting for Jil Sander. Jil Sander returns Saturday to regain her scepter." (Italian Vogue). "Jil Sander returns to #Jilsander this saturday at #MFW. Which promises to be the most long awaited return in fashion." (Hunger Magazine). The tweets speak for themselves.
So just how did Ms. Sander fare? i-D tweeted, "Jil Sander is back!
#mfw." British Vogue added, "Did you see the beautiful Jil Sander show yesterday? #mfw." The New York Times raved about the collection tweeting, "Jil Sander: Minimalism with a Kick." Editors and bloggers were quick to agree. In Style's Ariel Foxman tweeted a picture of one of the beautiful frocks stating, "Major dress @jilsanderoff." Blogger Susie Bubble fell for the shine tweeting, "White with iridescent spots and navy looks are my fave #jilsander." Even though the collection was a success, Meenal Mistry tweeted, "Kind of intense moment for Jil Sander's bow. She seemed nervous. #MFW." Who wouldn't be?

Also the shoes are major…The shoe of the season in Milan belongs to Fendi!" In addition to killer shoes, Fendi was all about its fur (natch). Karla Martinez tweeted, "Fur for spring is big! Of course no one can do fur like Fendi." Agreed on all counts.
