Mugler Spring 2013 Runway Review

Nicola Formichetti is still working on solidifying a signature stamp on the Thierry Mugler brand and as a result his collections continue to be hit or miss. It's also often fairly difficult to separate a Mugler piece from a Lady Gaga stage costume, which was the case with a number of the boldly colored, high shine, structured looks shown this season.

That said, Spring 2013 was the most wearable collection Formichetti has shown to date with a variety of pleated and sculpted monochrome minis, a loosely draped jumper, and a fitted romper shown among the more fashion-forward aforementioned plastified looks.

This season also marked the debut of the house's first handbag range, which included a structured clutch and a day bag.
