Comme des Garcons Spring 2013 Runway Review

Folded, padded, crumpled, layered, and draped…Rei Kawakubo's Spring 2013 Comme des Garcons collection was deconstructed perfection. Keeping her palette to mostly ivory and black, the piled-on look of most of the pieces this season not only made for interesting proportions, but an intriguing counterpoint to the flattened oversized silhouettes the designer showed last season.

The one criticism would be the elaborate headgear (it was, according to Vogue, made of paint cans, wing mirrors, aluminium food packaging, brass brackets, and broken toy cars) that was paired with each look which did little, aside from take away from the beautiful dresses shown this season.
