Stella McCartney Spring 2013 Runway Review

Spring 2013 was a casual season for Stella McCartney, even by her standards. The sportswear-inspired casualness made for slouchy, loosely fitted separates and dresses that, while taken together weren't the most cohesive, held high appeal in their easy drape.

Very likely influenced by McCartney designing Team Great Britain's Olympics kit this year, the collection included low slung dresses, monochrome sweatshirts, cropped over-the-ankle trousers, the designer's signature oversized menswear separates, bomber jackets, and a graphic colorblocked round shape that recalled some of her past scuba looks. The sportswear feel was underscored in the color palette which mixed neutrals with popping shades of green, blue, and orange.

The season did bring one disappointment however: the shoes which included low open-toe perforated platforms.
