ABBEY LEE KERSHAW, MODEL PROFILE

Abbey Lee Kershaw, known simply as Abbey Lee, is an 18-year-old Australian model.

Born June 12, 1987, in Melbourne, the adorable Abbey Lee got her start at just 14 years old, winning a Cover Girl modeling competition for teens. The next year, she signed with Chic Management after gaining some experience modeling in Australia.

Her baby face began to pop up in campaigns for the likes of Levi’s and H&M, getting Abbey a good deal of buzz among industry insiders. Shortly after, she signed with Next Model Management, and moved to New York City.

Last season, she walked in a whopping 30 of the A/W 08/09 Paris shows alone – including opening slots for Givenchy and Erin Fetherson, and the closing spots at Ohne Titel and Rodarte in New York.

This led her to be named one of the industry’s top ten models by Style.com, and one of the top four faces of the season by WWD.

Her popularity on the runways also allowed her to secure editorials in Paris Vogue, Numero, Vogue Italia, W Magazine, and the cover of Vogue Australia’s September 2008 issue.

Abbey is currently in campaigns for D&G, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Gucci.

Hopefully, in the upcoming S/S 09 shows we’ll see a lot more of Abbey Lee’s face on the runway!
