Chado Ralph Rucci is one of the only designers, if not the only one, to consistently get a standing ovation when he shows at New York Fashion Week. And rightly so, the designer's pieces are made with couture precision, each one more intricate than the next.
This season's collection was done predominantly in black with pops of brightly colored separates, including furs. Delicate feathers, rows of sequins, molted leather, dangling tassels, slender sheer panels and luscious sable were among the luxe touches. Standout pieces included a 3/4 length coat with wildly oversized sleeves, a tassel belted jumper (so refined even Martha Stewart, a noted fan, could conceivably pull it off) and a parade of furs perfect for the bold…and rich.
