Arguably the most important season in fashion, Fall 2013 has kicked off with a bang. And by bang we mean an empowered force. Gone are the days of feminine frills when sweet reigned supreme; NYFW has recast a new type of woman, a fearless warrior who favors leather harnesses, fur boxing gloves and sleek leather urban wear. The top contenders in this match thus far: Alexander Wang, who presented his final collection before crossing the Atlantic, Joseph Altuzarra, who showed off a coat that had several It girls on a fashion high, and Prabal Gurung, who presented a much more austere side to his usually colorful signature prints. While most of these modern collections received rave reviews, a few others failed to pass the fashion litmus test, aka Twitter buzz. See for yourselves who ranked where according to the fashion Twitterati.
