L’Wren Scott Fall 2013 Runway Review

This season, like Tory Burch before her, L’Wren Scott was inspired by Gustav Klimt and Adele Bloch-Bauer. Unlike Burch, however, Scott's price points aren't contemporary allowing her to take the gold opulence of Klimt's work to the next level. The designer even fashioned part of her collection (shoes and some dresses) out of 23-karat gold leaf.

While heavy on gold, the metallic shade was carefully interlaced with a slew of other solid colors and prints for a tasteful bodycon collection. A swirling gold motif recurred as did textured gold solid separates. Tweed and quilted leather were also on hand, making for a slew of seasonless looks.
