Alberta Ferreti went in a stripped down direction for Fall 2013, showing a series of minimally embellished looks that relied on ruffles, lace, contrasting fabrics, embroidery and textured fabrics to create visual interest. The collection was unapologetically proper, feminine and romantic with a number of the looks, particuarly for evening, going in an Edwardian direction (think bustles, tiered lace, velvet dresses and high collars).
