Sonia Rykiel Fall 2013 Runway Review

This season marked Geraldo da Conceicao's debut at Sonia Rykiel and he embraced the brand's quirky heritage and signature knits. Oversized buttons, ruffle details and geometric prints recurred throughout the collection, which featured mostly relaxed silhouettes.

At over 70 looks, the collection could have used some serious editing however. While the suiting, monochrome knits and a black dress with a pink rectangle across the chest and a triangle on the nether regions (classic Rykiel!) held appeal, Fall 2013 could have done away with the sheer dresses, colored leather separates and a number of the patterned knit tops.
