Celine Fall 2013 Runway Review

Killer coats, killer knits and some intricate twists on minimalist dresses and separates made for a fantastic Phoebe Philo-designed Celine collection.

In a nod to the 90s trend of wrapping your sweater around your waist, the designer showed a variety of coats and dresses with wrapped sleeves, offering a fashion-forward touch to the streamlined, minimalist collection. Similarly, plaids and tartans were woven in for a reprieve from the navy, gray and pastel colored boxy separates. Shapes were slightly oversized, but structured and many of the more feminine looks had a Forties feel with slightly flared skirts.
