South Wales-born Nova Dando earned a humble little knitting degree from the legendary Central St. Martin’s before embarking on a brilliant path of self-branding and immersing herself in textile innovation.
Gradually she has fused her divergent creative endeavors and produced her own clothing collections. Dando’s musician and artist neighbors started enlisting her to style their videos and shoots. Soon she went from Missoni wannabe to an in-demand stylist and costume designer. Dando specialtizes in made-to-order pieces for music videos, fashion editorials, events and performances.
Dando has worked extensively with independent artists, staying just under the radar, especially stateside. But notable clients of one of the UK’s best-kept secrets include M.I.A., The Teenagers, and Vice magazine.
