DKNY F/W 2009

Clean, simple, and tailored best describe DKNY’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

The designer clearly had the conscious shopper in mind when she was designing her collection, heavy on cherry, gray, olive, and black. Of note were below-the-knee pencil skirts, stretch wool jackets, fitted bomber jackets, and capes.

A particular stand-out was a leopard-print dress and there were a number of flannel and houndstooth looks.

Unlike so many collections this season, DKNY’s collection felt – fittingly – fall appropriate with an abundance of cold weather accessories and mohair and flannel along with the deep color palette throughout.

Best of all, this was a collection that is appropriate for a wide age range.
