I always make it a priority to attend Douglas Hannant’s shows.  They are elegance personified, and held in offsite locations that are the antithesis of the chaos that is the Bryant Park tents.

For Fall/Winter 2009, Hannant chose to display his collection in the Edwardian Room at the Plaza Hotel.  The carved oak moldings and Sistine-esque ceilings were the perfect backdrop for the sheath dresses, tweed coats, fur wraps, and bias cut gowns that Hannant said were inspired by Audrey Hepburn.

“After all,” stated Hannant, “What says New York better than the Plaza Hotel?”

We couldn’t agree more…
