PARIS: STELLA MCCARTNEY F/W 09

This season, Stella McCartney triumphantly left any spillover influence her collaborations with Adidas have had on her work behind and went back to her roots. The British designer produced the loosely tailored, but structured and slightly androgynous suits and slip dresses that have long been one of her strongest points.

To complement her lace dresses, McCartney showed intricately created black gowns with lace insets.

McCartney, who does not use fur in her collection, showed some covetable pleather and loopy shag coats along with some vegan legging boots that heightened the sex appeal of her collection and just goes to show how alternatives can sometimes be so much more interesting than the real thing.

A number of the looks – both coats and dresses – were belted with slim belts at the waist and the designer mixed-in some notable Houndstooth and silk paint-stroke prints.

McCartney, put simply, just has a knack for creating clothing and accessories that women want to wear and she did that this season.
