Adriana Carador, the designer behind the Adriana Carador Collection, is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A well-known socialite and fashionista, Carador studied fashion and accessories design in Rome before returning to Brazil to open two women’s clothing boutiques.
While viewing the Milan collections in the mid-90’s, Carador found herself sketching jewelry to compliment the runway looks. Upon returning to Brazil, she immersed herself in the history and study of jewelry and gemstones.
With the help of talented local goldsmiths, she was soon transforming the area’s most precious resources into jewelry pieces that she could wear herself. Soon the young designer was also selling to her clients, so she subsequently sold the boutiques in order to focus solely on her jewels.
After steadily growing her business in Brazil, Carador reached out to friend and New York businesswoman Victoria Flores in the hopes of expanding her brand. Since late 2007, Adriana and Victoria have traveled to various cities in the United States, Dallas, New York City, the Hamptons, Aspen, and Beverly Hills, holding private trunk shows in the homes of various stylish women.
Carador’s namesake line is now also being carried in the New York City Soho boutique Fragments.
