CEO AND CFO DEPART AT THOM BROWNE

The chief executive officer and chief financial officer of high-end men’s wear label Thom Browne have left the company. A spokesperson for the company revealed that Thom Browne has been looking to restructure the fashion brand, and that both CEO Thom Becker and CFO Thomas Cunningham chose to leave voluntarily to pursue other interests. They were both hired about two years ago to help Browne handle the growth of his eponymous label which is estimated to have annual sales of about 5 million.

The departure of high level executives would be notable in any case, but given that Thom Browne is only run by a 10 person team, it is even more significant. This news comes after a serious statement from the part of the label’s namesake designer that Thom Browne was not having cash flow problems. Obviously speculation is bound to ensue, despite the fact that the men’s wear brand’s spokesperson asserts that this still remains unchanged.

Thom Browne, who currently operates a store in New York City’s TriBeCa, has got a number of collaborations in the works — Brooks Brothers for Black Fleece, and Moncler. The designer is still searching for a financial partner to give Browne’s eponymous line the needed funds to grow the brand.
