FALL 2009: FAVORITE LOOKS

With that in mind, lets take a step back and appreciate all of the key pieces from the Fall 2009 collections, and the trends that are sure to stay in for another season.

Biker chicks are hot and these little leather jackets are proof. They started showing up on front row starlets in Spring of 2009, and it doesn’t look like this trend is leaving anytime soon. Paired with the new minis or blousy sundresses, it’s the perfect contrast to a sweet, summer look.

Shoulders are huge and we mean that literally. Incredibly chic and tailored, they look fabulous in fitted coat and modern, cut dresses. As fabrics lighten up, we may see new interpretations of the look in softer fabrics for Spring 2010.

Asymmetry has never made more sense. Shown in tops, gowns, hems, and swimwear, the asymmetrical trend is one that is sure to continue over the next few seasons.

Over the Knee Boots…Who knew the look in Pretty Woman would come back in the 21st century to haunt us. However, designers have put an edgy twist with modernized fabrics and cool hardware to give these trampy stilettos high fashion wearability.

Sheer fabrics. Barely there fabrics were a cost friendly way of exuding luxury and sexiness without looking overindulgent in these current economic times. Will they continue?  Women want to look hot, so why not?

It’s a pretty safe bet that these trends will stay around to see the new year through, so keep them in your closet a little longer this year.
