PETER SOM S/S 2010

Cruisewear, Jacques-Henri Lartigue’s photos of Deauville, and Hokusai’s woodcuts were noted as starting points for this collection, but in reality it was a confection of wonderfully mismatched jacquards and chiffons destined for retail greatness.

Known for his off-kilter but feminine collections, Som had Anna Wintour smiling when he described his inspiration for this season. It was a delightful foray into the styles of the London and New York fashion folk so often snapped by the street style photographer du jour.
