LFW: TEMPERLEY LONDON S/S 2010

Despite the grandiose circus-themed presentation in New York, Temperley London scaled back a lot for their hometown presentation.

Shown in the bottom of Sketch, right beside the London boutiques of many designer labels, the presentation was a simple showing of the garments on mannequins with the shoes on a simple table on the side.

Despite this scaled-back show, a somewhat standard color palette of black, gray, white, red, and purple was the only ‘pedestrian’ thing about the collection. Harlequin prints were paired with metal-toed oxfords for a fanciful yet surprisingly wearable collection.

The mixture of classic tailoring and youthful embellishments make this season’s ready-to-wear presentation exactly that – ready to be worn by starlets and executives alike.
