PARIS: ISABEL MARANT S/S 2010

In the 15 years that Isabel Marant has been designing her namesake label, she has slowly but surely garnered international cult status.

Editors and tastemakers alike usually flock to the designer’s effortlessly cool staples and this season’s show was no exception. The front row of this season’s show was littered with editors in last season’s printed silk and structured jackets, and this season she provided a well-rounded collection of more wearable and easily saleable separates and dresses.

A somewhat more international collection, the designer integrated ethnic embellishment into her collection of simple dresses, well-draped pants and easy overwear.

Boots, long earrings, and soft wavy hair completed the models’ looks, which succeeded in portraying that Paris/New York it-girl hybrid that has helped establish this designer as the go-to for stylish women around the world.
