I love all that is Sonia Rykiel. The French designer is an inspiration for countless fashion devotees, a pioneer in the industry, and has influenced countless of her fellow designers – as was evidenced by her landmark anniversary show and celebration last Spring. While Rykiel may not be that involved creatively speaking in her shows anymore (as anyone who saw the Sundance Channel’s “The Day Before Sonia Rykiel” was able to see), her signature aesthetic lives on and manifests itself in similar iterations season after season.
