TREND: RUFFLES

Sweet, girly, feminine little ruffles…they add a girlish twist to anything masculine, a little flair to a straight skirt, and can make a collar an avant garde masterpiece. Petite little ruffles trimming the hem of a delicate blouse, extra big and structured around a collar, or wild and asymmetrical on a printed dress, ruffles are showing up in many shapes and textures.

Adding a sense of extravagance to any design, these ruffles are modernized, bringing a bit of wow to Spring 2010 looks. From Stella McCartney’s oversized neckline to Nina Ricci’s delicately ruffled lingerie, ruffles are a must for your next wardrobe.

Marc Jacobs’ gothic ballerina looks scary and sweet with mismatched ruffles in a combination of white textures.
