Maison Martin Margiela Haute Couture Fall 2013 Was All About the Fabrics

Fabrics were the big eye catcher at this season’s Maison Martin Margiela Haute Couture show. From denim and satin, to ornate original 19th-century embroidered material, the models walked the runway – their faces once again covered this season – in outfits whose fabrics truly spoke louder than the cuts they were fashioned into.

Fall 2013 included both clean-lined cuffed trousers and outerwear, and more avant garde draped tops and dresses. The most notable looks featured fabric flowers appliquéd at the hem or at the waist.
