Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2014 Runway Review

Anne Sofie Madsen

Anne Sofie Madsen showed her collection “Post Human Speed” at the City Hall and it was nothing short of perfection. True, the brand doesn’t seem to evolve or change significantly from season to season, but Madsen can still continue to fascinate with her robotic designs and her armor like garments. The collection was influenced by teenage boys who will never truly grow up, such as Kaspar Hauser who claimed to have grown up in total isolation of a dark cell and Rubber Johnny who is kept locked in a basement because of his ability to twist his body into unnatural positions. Anne Sofie Madsen again questioned the isolation and deconstruction of the human body and showed 90s Japanese pop art and neo-rave influences such as wide pants combined with strapless and cropped tops.
