Bombshell red and white made for strong statements at Richard Chai's Spring 2014 show. The designer showed them in monochrome, striped and geometric print iterations, often layered. While there was questionable appeal in some of the layering – think a white skirt layered over striped pants — floating red skirts and quilted white moto jackets held exceedingly higher appeal, offering bold takes on classic separates.
Black and blue stripe-heavy looks and an aqua/gingham print also had a strong presence, making for a variety of paneled separates and day dresses. Rounding out the collection were palazzo pants, crop tops and a slew of head-to-toe black looks, many with pops of high shine fabric.
