Viktor & Rolf Spring 2014: Prep School Grows Up

Spring felt like taking a course at Viktor & Rolf Prep—blazers were piped and tailored (even if it was part of a dress and effectively cut in half) and came in a multitude of silhouettes. This season felt more understated than usual from the design duo. It was feminine (plenty of mini skirts, etc.) but not obnoxiously so.

The main motif was the blazer and the school-ready button-down—either plain or reworked fundamentally or decorated with studs, spray paint or patches. There was even a bit of reworked argyle involved and it looked more grown up than the other looks—ending the show with some serious maturity. All in all, an impressive, accessible collection from Viktor & Rolf.
