New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 Hits and Misses: Part 3 (Forum Buzz)

THE MISSES:

Donna Karan

“I’m sorry, but I find most of this really ugly. With an exception of a few gowns, I’m getting a tacky Broadway show girl vibe from this collection… Donna Karan collections are either a big hit or a big miss for me. This one is a major miss.” [valliaddict]

“It’s so unexpectedly slutty? Feels more Tom Ford than Donna Karan at first glance. Not sure I like this, it’s too aggressive, not really what I expect to see from her. She has let me down with both of her collections this season.” [Psylocke]

“There’s a little too much sheerness and the styling is harsh overall.” [Not Plain Jane]

Oscar de la Renta

“I’m sorry, are there clothes in this collection? All I see are horrible, cheap wigs.” [masquerade]

“I’ve always been de la Renta’s biggest fan but I didn’t really love this collection, it feels too 90s, and not in a good way (because let me tell you 90s are flawless). Some looks look even tacky, which never happens at de la Renta. And I’m not even going to say anything about those wigs.” [SGaspar]

“The collection is meh at best. Personally, I think he should pass the baton.” [Not Plain Jane]

Zac Posen

“The first half looked pretty chic, but then it went to his usual shtick.” [simple_elegance]

“He really needs to stop using that ugly satin fabric, it photographs horribly especially with how stiff he is with it.” [CommanderTMugler]

“I’m pretty sick of his huge gowns.” [Laces]
