NEW FASHION ADS OUT

Among the most anticipated Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaigns of the upcoming season is the one from the now Riccardo Tisci-designed house of Givenchy. The French brand’s latest ad images have just been released – shot, for the second time (after nine seasons of Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-shot ads), by photography power duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.  They feature models Mariacarla Boscono and Natalia Vodianova, along with a bevy of male models.

The garments featured are heavy on black and white and prints and feature a wide variety of looks. Surprsingly, there doesn’t seem to be a focus on handbags or shoes — at least not with the images released thus far.

Also released are the spring summer 2010 Bally ads, which were shot by Raymond Meier in the Swiss Alps. Perennialy young-looking iconic supermodel Christy Turlington was chosen once again as the face for the campaign which is focused on Bally’s signature family crest (though not evidenced in the one image we were able to get our hands on).

I’m loving how the exotic-skin bag pops against the serene, white background of the Swiss Alps and the open-toe rust-colored, draw-string bootie that was chosen is lust-worthy. My only peeve is Turlington’s hair which looks a bit too Farrah Fawcett-esque and beachy, given the context of the ad.
