Christophe Lemaire is Perfect for the Woman Who Has Graduated from Theory (Runway Review)

The Inspiration: Timeless, cozy knitwear.

The Look: Christophe Lemaire has a knack for creating practical yet sophisticated looks and this season’s lineup came in a timeless palette of black, white, khaki and navy. For Fall 2014, the designer focused on knitwear, making for a cozy and impeccably styled collection. Silhouettes were slightly oversized, adding to the snug appeal of the collection. Single pleat trousers, sweaters layered under thick scarves, wrap dresses and outerwear were strongest (particularly loose oversized jackets with prominent collars and swinging trenches), but from start to finish, it was a timeless lineup full of worthy investment pieces.

The Accessories: Black below-the-knee boots and booties.

The Beauty: Muted out lip, brown smoky eye and center-parted hair loosely pulled back.

The Takeaway: Perfect for the woman who has graduated from Theory.
