Andrew Gn Showcases Cool Cartoons and Cut-Outs for Fall 2014 (Runway Review)

The Look: Bright colors, cool cut-outs and cartoon robot embroidery ruled Andrew Gn’s latest collection — the designer certainly hit all sorts of different points up on the runway. There were work-ready separates, sexy garments that make full use of sheer paneling and cutesy robot renderings. In fact, while a lot of pieces wouldn’t be work-approriate thanks to plunging necklines and sheer bottoms, several of the cut-out pieces felt office supply-inspired with paper clip-like accents marking the elbows and collars of jackets as well as adorning the bottom hem of a knee-length skirt. The robots were a quirky but fun take on the statement sweatshirt that’s still going around.

The Accessories: Satchels and totes in crisp colors.

The Beauty: Sleek, straight hair parted in the center along with smoky, purple eyes.

The Takeaway: Andrew Gn’s catering to the woman both interested in cartoons as well as looking elegant for a black tie event and we’re pretty sure she’s out there, somewhere.
