Emma Mulholland
It has only been three years since Emma Mulholland was showing as a mere student on the MBFWA runways. In the time since she has become one of the rising stars of the Australian streetwear scene. Her solo debut here at Fashion Week, “Risqué Business!”, was inspired by John Hughes’ oeuvre, the Melanie Griffith flick Working Girl and the “brat pack” (which seems appropriate considering Mulholland has fast garnered fans like Kayne West and M.I.A). Pastels reminiscent of Miami Vice, super-80s abstract prints and stationery – think paperclip and Post-It note — motifs complete the look.
