You Betta Work: The Fiercest Runway Walks of All Time

There are a million models out there, but few are truly great runway walkers. Which isn’t too hard to believe, since girls often take to the catwalk in shoes that are too high or too small — all while trying to sell the garment. Some girls are hot messes; others are pretty good. But given the circumstances, the fact that they get to the end of the runway and back without falling is pretty impressive — at least to us.

But this next set of women delivers more than just an “OK” performance once they hit the catwalk. Each has truly developed a signature walk and become famous for bringing it on the runway — and we think they should be honored for it. Below, eight of the best strides on the runway.

Naomi Campbell

Few models are coming for Naomi Campbell on the catwalk. A mix of cool island swagger and cosmopolitan sophistication has made her a legendary name in runway history. Beyoncé even made up a dance inspired by her signature strut. Her catwalk appearances are typically iconic for a reason.
