Acrobatics and Lobster Stole the Show at NOBLE by William Rast Spring 2015

Last night, Justin Timberlake‘s NOBLE by William Rast showed its Spring 2015 collection. Disappointing the 90s teenybopper in all of us, JT was not present at the runway event, but he did make up for the absence by treating audience members to quite a show.

And when we say show, we really mean it. The label invited a smattering of fashion folk to Midtown’s Diamond Horseshoe to see the “Queen of the Night” show, which we can only describe as a marriage of modern dance, cabaret and circus. For about an hour, we watched dancers swinging from, jumping through and balancing on all manner of hoops, making for quite the acrobatic display. We’re talking difficult-looking lifts, dazzling flips in the air and even a cool display of juggling. The interactive show also came with a dinner — guests munched on beef ribs, kale salad, mushroom paella and lobsters as big as your head as dancers twirled and grand battemented through the theater.

It was definitely an experience, though almost an hour into the show, one could only wonder, “Where are the clothes?” The audience got a little restless. Geoff Stults of 7th Heaven fame sat a table over from us and gestured to us to throw some grapes in his mouth. We refrained.

At long last, clothes! Set to a live special performance from G-Eazy, NOBLE showed a range of men’s and women’s looks. We saw tassels and grommets galore, plus peasant-inspired silhouettes for women. We were particularly fond of a suede dress with fringe cascading from the arms and the back of the garment. For the fellas, printed sweatshirts and jackets, a few smart but casual suits as well as a leather jogging pant or two.
