Last night the pressure was on for Australia’s most renowned fashion bloggers, Kate Waterhouse, Zanita Whittington, Sara Donaldson and Margaret Zhang, to present the Fashion Bloggers on Style: Spring Edits runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney.
The girls curated looks from a plethora of Aussie designers, and sent their favourites down the runway at Sydney’s Town Hall for an inspirational cut of Spring 14 trends. It was clearly a promotional ploy for their upcoming reality program Fashion Bloggers, although the bunch were one girl short without Amanda Shadworth there to complete their fab five.
With all girls possessing such different style, the result was an inspirational cut of how we should all be dressing this season. Think silky rust-coloured pieces from TOME, monochrome magic from Jac + Jack and Bassike (undoubtedly chosen by the minimalist of the pack, Sara), slouchy trenches over sexy bralettes from Michael Lo Sordo (we’re looking at Michael’s muse, Marget for that pick), and quirky Alice McCall pieces, to name a few.
