Runway Cheat Sheet: 71 Must-See Looks From the Spring 2016 Couture Shows

There was a lot going on this week. From the great blizzard dig out to a Kardashian feud and Rihanna’s album unexpectedly dropping early, it’s understandable if you couldn’t quite find the time to catch all the Spring 2016 Haute Couture shows. Luckily, we did. We examined each and every look from the Parisian presentations, so you don’t have to.

The big takeaways? Suspenders and harnesses were trending, reining in their fair share of billowy creations, while rope details and exaggerated, exposed pockets also appeared to be running themes. Couture is usually a time for extreme shapes and although Viktor & Rolf went Surrealist on us, most silhouettes had a touch of familiarity, especially high-low hemlines, which were practically everywhere. Some lesser-known designers made significant splashes over in the City of Light and we spotted several Oscar gown contenders gracing the runways.
