64 Most Gorgeous Wedding Dresses From Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2018

Traditional wedding gowns shared space with more avant-garde silhouettes in the latest round of NYFW: Bridal collections. From Vera Wang’s new spin on romanticism that read like an amalgam of grunge and elegance (we think Rosie Huntington-Whiteley should seriously consider rocking one of these looks when she says “I do” to Jason Statham) to Monique Lhuillier’s classic cathedral-ready gathering, designers felt rather comfy offering up a range of picks for a walk down the aisle.

While most brides and most bridal designers will always think white when it comes to wedding dresses, color was also trending. Much like the now extinct and frustratingly hard-to-make Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino, bridal fashion appeared to favor an almost mythical blend of saturated hues, from gowns boasting multicolored florals to pieces punctuated with eye-catching sculptural sashes in shades of pink. We can totally picture mom-to-be Serena Williams flaunting her toned arms by sporting Reem Acra’s powder blue ballgown replete with golden embroidery that corresponds to the elaborate decoration on the veil.

Black accents in the form of gloves, veils, floral brooches and ribbon chokers were a surprising craze this season. Pants were another constant throughout the collections with nearly every designer offering up some version of an anti-dress suitable for city hall or grand church nuptials.
