H&M Studio and Super-Cool French Store Colette Are Releasing a Limited-Edition Collab This Summer

Introducing the cure for your imminent end-of-summer blues: a colette blue-infused limited-edition line by the super-cool French store and H&M’s haute offshoot, H&M Studio.

To quote the duo’s press release, the nine-piece collection is “hard-edged yet chic.” The punky yet feminine line combines the French boutique’s streetwise sophistication with the Swedish retailer’s eye for trends.

The H&M Studio x colette collection consists of five dresses, an anorak, a turtleneck, a miniskirt and a white button-down, all decorated with “distinctive details such as hand-painted graffiti and jacquards with frayed edges.” Indeed, our favorite pieces would have to be the graffiti-bedecked checkered fit-and-flare dress and the sleeveless drop-waist mini-dress overlain with “hairy” swirls.

“We really thought about the modern woman’s wardrobe and what she needs in it – sharp outerwear, soft dresses, flattering knits and statement accessories. For the H&M Studio x colette collection in particular, we not only combined contrasting fabrics in a garment, but also brought in more colour contrast with the signature colette blue, which created a more graphic structure and a new, fearless attitude,” Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Head of Design and Creative Director, stated in the release.

The limited-edition line will be available for a two-week window beginning August 21. It will be sold exclusively at Colette’s rue Saint-Honoré store and via colette.fr. During this time, the shop will also offer select pieces from H&M Studio’s Fall 2017 collection, which hits hm.com and select H&M locations worldwide on September 14.
