Watch: Hari Nef, Amber Valletta and Basically Every It Girl Stars in Proenza Schouler’s New Film for Planned Parenthood

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler were among the 40-plus designers who participated in the CFDA’s Fashion Stands With Planned Parenthood campaign this past New York Fashion Week. And their advocacy isn’t ending there. The third installment of Proenza Schouler’s video series with in-demand camerawoman Harley Weir takes the form of a highly stylized, celebrity- and fashion-filled Planned Parenthood PSA.

“In recent months, Proenza Schouler has been driven by a need to stand up with organizations that fight for the causes we believe in. Now more than ever we feel it is important to use our voice and platform to speak out in support of the things we care deeply about,” said the designers in a written statement. “Planned Parenthood means so much to the women who work at our company, and to the community Planned Parenthood serves in New York City and beyond.”

In the just-under-four-minute video, “activists, artists, sex educators, models and friends” — among them Amber Valletta, Grimes, Hailey Benton Gates, Hanne Gaby OdieleHari Nef, Jemima KirkePaloma Elsesser, Selena Forrest and Stella Tennant — “explore and dissect the broad and complex concept of ‘femininity’ and what it means to be a woman today.” Their sharp insights, Weir’s dreamy cinematography and the incredible clothes are well worth a few minutes of your Friday.

The designers hope the film serves as a “call to action of sorts.” Watch it in full below, then head to the Planned Parenthood New York City website to learn how you can lend your support.
