Resort Report: 101 Stunning Looks From the Resort 2019 Collections

It’s our favorite season of the year and no, we’re not talking about summer. The resort (aka cruise) season on the fashion calendar is often overlooked since most brands prefer lookbooks to runway shows when it comes to showing off their collections. But the dresses, jackets and suits are second to none. This go-round, designers decided to go graphic, heavily favoring tie-dye and photo prints. The 80s were still top of mind with outsize blazers, puffy sleeves and a (hopefully) last-ditch effort to resurrect acid wash denim.

Some labels really took resort to heart by creating clothes meant for getaways. Valentino provided a 70s-inspired wardrobe for Roman holidays. Wes Gordon used palm tree backdrops for his first resort offering for Carolina Herrera. And Chanel docked a cruise ship on its runway to help deliver its 80s-tinged collection.

Since you’ve probably been too busy out enjoying the summer sun to scroll through each and every collection, we went ahead and did the work for you. Check out the must-see looks from the Resort 2019 collections above, no passport required.
