COUTURE WARS, MODEL NEWS

Madonna boy toy Jesus Luz has benefited in more ways than one from being in the spotlight, not least of which are those that translate in monetary ways. In addition to high paying DJ gigs secured for him by Madonna, the Brazilian model walked the runway for sportswear label Ellus during Sao Paulo Fashion Week (he is not walking the Milan shows this season), which Page Six is reporting is his highest profile booking to date. Kudos to Ellus for being so smart about their marketing…how many male models can generate this kind of buzz?

Also making the popular gossip pages is Victoria Secret beauty Marisa Miller, who reportedly is no longer a Victoria’s Secret angel. Miller, who is on more hot lists that one could feasibly count, and who was chosen to wear the diamond encrusted VS bra at the retailer’s last mega runway show, has yet to comment (although I’m sure she won’t miss the five hours of butt makeup she had to supposedly go through to be runway ready for the lingerie show).

Considerably more vocal is couturier Giorgio Armani. The designer was forced to move his Armani PrivĂ© show – scheduled for Monday, January 25th – from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and, according to Style.com, he promptly sent out a note calling the move "unexpected and unjustifiable."

The change in time resulted in Dior switching their time slot, to which Armani remarked that the move was "indicative of a lack of respect for other people’s time and labor."

So far the Dior camp and John Galliano have been mum…oh, the Parisian fashion dramas!
