Serena Williams Will Debut the New Off-White for Nike Collection at the US Open Next Week

GOAT tennis player and sports royalty Serena Williams teamed up with Nike and Off-White designer Virgil Abloh for a chic new performance collection. The Queen comprises two tennis dresses and high-performance sneakers, tailored specifically for the tennis superstar.

Williams will be sporting the designs at the 50th US Open, set to begin on August 27. The tennis dresses come in black and white—for nighttime and daytime—with a skirt that looks fit for a ballerina. Williams’ passion for dance inspired the look of the outfit.

Abloh wanted to capture Williams’ spirit by introducing something novel to tennis. “With Serena, we have one of our generation’s most powerful, inspiring athletes as the muse,” he said in a statement.

“It’s not about bells and whistles and tricks,” Abloh said. “It’s just about it living on the body, and expressing Serena’s spirit with each swing of the racket.”

An ambassador for Nike since 2013, Williams has never been one to settle for classic tennis whites and her preference for color inspired Nike to create the sneakers in the collection.
