YOUR OWN PRE-FALL ENSEMBLES: GET THE LOOK

In the months leading up to New York Fashion Week, which is (finally!) here, a decent-sized handful of hardworking designers managed to present Pre-Fall collections, a notable feat when one is additionally showing under the tents in February.

Proenza Schouler and Diane Von Furstenberg both had exceptional Pre-Fall presentations. Proenza was preppy and polished, yet it managed to stay alive with bold, livid colors. DVF combined metallics, pastels, and oversized coats for a delicate, nostalgic feel. In a sea of humdrum black and brown outerwear, these two stood out as 2010′s Pre-Fall all-stars.

Featured below are pairs of outfits from each designer, as well as budget friendly, head-to-toe suggestions for achieving all four looks.
