TREND: LITTLE RED NUMBERS

Things are heating up for fall, and getting hotter. Red is the symbolic color suggesting that things are not exactly what they seem, and it’s popping up everywhere for Pre-Fall 2010 collections. Designers must be feeling something amazing, and sexy is back. Little red mini dresses in deep bloods to cherry pinks are making their way down the runways and in lookbooks, suggesting that Fall 2010 collections may have some spectacular surprises.

Derek Lam is causally chic in hot orange-red wrap dress with black tights.

A red-hot jumpsuit under a sheer black dress is fresh and modern from the futuristic design house, Balenciaga.

Feminine and flattering, Diane Von Furstenberg knows how to make a woman look and feel good in this asymmetrical red dress with matching gloves.

So elegant in a cherry color, this Giorgio Armani wrap will flatter any cocktail dress or pantsuit ensemble.

Sleek in Valentino, this skin tight, pleated mini dress comes in the perfect red.

Sensual in deep red, this Giambattista Valli strapless number will flatter any figure and complexion.

Black and white for Fall? Well of course – but nothing makes a statement like a little red number, and designers are all about getting noticed next season.
